I'm going to the Philippines!

So I'm a little behind with the blogging but life has been a little crazy.  On Wednesday, June 8th my mission call came!  I have been called to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  I will be learning Tagalog and will preach in the Philippines.  I am SO excited!  I leave September 28th to enter the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah.  I'll stay there for 2 months and attempt to learn the Tagalog language and then I'll head to the Philippines for another 16 months!  I'm so excited for the opportunity to share with the world the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and all that I believe in and love.  I know this is the only true church on the earth and that all of it's teaching are true and I can't wait to help others feel of it's truthfulness.

I have to give some advice to my sweet nephew, Aiden.  He's the reason I even started this blog so I thought I'd give him a little shout out...  Even though you're little now and and won't understand this yet, in 19 years I'm so excited to watch you embark on this same type of adventure as you prepare to serve a mission.  If ever you even consider possibly not going I'll kick your little butt.  My advice is to live the gospel.  Read the Book of Mormon as many times as you possibly can and learn as much as you can about it and grow to love it.  Follow the examples of your parents, stay close to them and listen to what they teach you.  Go to the temple often and grow close to the Savior.  Then no matter what storms or temptations or trials or struggles the adversary throws your way, find things daily that make you happy and help you to laugh.  Then you will always be able to stand steadfast.

The blessed white envelope!

After I opened my call up by the temple.  I cried... but happy tears... and only a baby bit.

Garett, Ryan, James, Dan, Jared and Me.  These guys are in my ward and they are awesome!

Chandra, Jessi and Me. Being weirdos. We were all really hyper and excited :)
Jessi Fay and Tash Faye. Dang I love this girl SO much!

Me and Lexi Bracken.  This girl is amazing!

My Grandma came all the way from Idaho to come with my mom and surprise me and be there to support me with my call.  I sure love both of these incredible ladies a whole lot!
