Lost in living...

I got a little behind in blogging so here’s a catch up entry.  Sorry.  The last month and a half of Winter Semester was CRAZY.  To say the least.  Every teacher was behind in the material they needed to cover, so instead of cutting it out of the Final test they all decided to assign extra homework.  The only class that ended on a high note was my Mission Prep class. I LOVED it!  I seriously want to go on a mission SO bad!  But we’ll get to that in a minute.  My Winter semester is over and I am officially and Junior!  Not that it really matters because I’m behind in the classes I need for my major so it’s going to take me longer than two more years to gradute…but oh well I guess.  I’ll figure it out.  I don’t remember if I said  or not that I decided on a major.  PE Teaching/Coaching with Chemistry Education as my minor.  I’m really excited for it.  I applied for the major and was accepted and could start classes for it starting this August.  But I think my life might head in a slightly different direction for a little bit.  Say about 18 months... but, like I said, we’ll get to that in a minute.
March and April seriously flew by.  So much happened in so short amount of time.  I wish I had taken more time to write the events and things that happened to me.  I had a lot of good times with my roommates and I’m sad I didn’t document them in the moment.  I didn’t even take very many pictures :( I need to work on that.  But here are some of the few that I did happen to take.

For the Ward Opening Summer Social on May 2nd we went to this huge park and played some games.  They had a volleyball net, a kickball field, and the best playground and swings.  I spent the night playing ultimate Frisbee with 15 guys (yes I was the only girl... haha just like in high school... I guess some things will never change... which is fine with me).
Kyle, Preston, Erik, James, Me, Ryan and Michael - BEST TEAM EVER!

Ok now to mission stuff.  Yep I’ve decided for sure to go on a mission.  It’s not just contemplating it anymore.  It’s for sure.  My appointments are all finished and my papers are ready I’m just waiting for my Stake President interview on May 24th and then I can submit them!  I’m so stoked!  I just want it to get here already.
So some more exciting news is that I was called to be the Relief Society President for my student ward here in Provo.  The Relief Society is a women’s organization within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and my ward is the Provo BYU-Single Adult LDS 35th Ward.  I’m really looking forward to serving in and magnifying this calling.  I know I’m going to learn and grow so much more than anyone else and I’m so thankfully for that opportunity.  Something that I have to keep reminding myself about is that the Lord can qualify those that He calls.  I know that I have been called by God to this position and if I turn my life over to Him, if I make my will consistent with His, then He will make me equal to this task.  I know that the Lord can and will do that for anyone and I love it.  I love knowing that He can make up what we lack, and not only that He can but that He WILL because He loves us SO much.

One last thing I have to say is a great bug huge thanks to my Mom.  Thankfully I was able to spend the evening of Mother's Day (May 8th) with her.  But I owe so much to my Mom.  She is such an amazing example and support to her.  I am what I am today because of her love and example.  All that I know about living, learning, loving and laughing has come from her.  Thanks Mommy for being the best friend and mother a girl could EVER have.  I love you a million trillion times to the moon and back plus more.  "Lot you mosquest!"
